West Ham star Jarrod Bowen on Villa draw, facing Bayer Leverkusen and... Fulham's European charge

After West Ham's 1-1 home draw against Aston Villa, Hammers ace Jarrod Bowen addressed the media. This is what he told to Capital Football.

On the Hammers' patchy league form straight after a European game:  "We've got enough experience, we've been here for three years now. It's just one of those things where we played them and they played in Europe on Thursday as well. We was playing against a really good side like Aston Villa [who are] in the top-four, Champions League, they got a really good season."

On the 1-1 draw against Unai Emery's Villans: "The game could probably have gone either way. In the first-half we was on top, in the second-half they come out and played some really nice football. A draw in the end was probably the right result. It's been a a good week, good win in Europe but disappointing to drop two points against Burnley obviously."

On the Bayer Leverkusen draw in the Europa League: "They are probably one of the best sides left in the competition. But if you wanna be successful in European competitions you have to beat the best. We know who we've got now and we know that when we come back after the internationals we've got tough Premier League games and in Europe as well. The Euros? When I come back it's about keeping the same consistency levels going into May/June."

On whether it's between West Ham and Man United for the fifth and sixth spots: " I think there's a lot of teams in the equation. Wolves have had some really good form and picked up. [There's also] Brighton and Newcastle. Even Fulham have won a few games and started to pick up. So I wouldn't say it's just us and Man United, there's a lot of good teams in and around us. Probably five or six... and it's an exciting end to the season as we play a couple of the teams in and around us. It's almost in our own hands that if we beat them we take control of them."
