"We want Levy out," chant fans as mad five minutes cost Spurs, who throw away lead to lose to lowly Leicester
Tottenham Hotspur 1 (Richarlison 33)
Leicester City 2 (Vardy 46, El Khannouss 50)
Leicester came from behind to beat Spurs 2-1 amid a toxic atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon.
Richarlison's header 12 minutes before the break had given the home side the lead.
But Spurs imploded in five mad minutes at the start of the second half.
First Jamie Vardy smashed home a close-range equaliser immediately after the restart. Then Bilal El-Khanouss curled home the winner four minutes later.
The chants of "we want Levy out," which had been rather muted in the first half, were loud and clear in the second, as the Foxes climbed out of the relegation zone thanks to these three points.
Spurs remain in 15th place - on just 24 points from 23 games.
Leicester started brightly, Jordan Ayew seeing a shot blocked by Ben Davies after 10 minutes.
Pedro Porro then had a shot of his own blocked, before the best chance of the game thus far - Son Heung-Min brilliantly controlling Dejan Kulusevski's cross-field pass and cutting inside three defenders before seeing his shot pushed round the post by Jakub Stolarczyk.
Spurs were getting closer. First Stolarczyc unconvincingly pushed away a cross from the right, and when the ball fell to Son on the opposite flank, the South Korean cut outside his defender and his cross-shot was pushed against the post by the goalkeeper.
But within a minute of that Spurs were ahead. Porro's deep cross from the right took out the Leicester defence and Richarlison was there at the far post to head the home side in front.
But things are never straightforward with this Spurs team, and just when their fans may have thought their side had given them some breathing space, they were behind - quick as a flash.
First Bobby De Cordova-Reid's cross from the left was flapped at by Antonin Kinsky, allowing Vardy in at the far post to collect the ball and smash home.
Then, before they could recover, Spurs had conceded again. The home side lost the ball in the right-back position, De Cordova-Reid found El Khannouss and the Moroccan curled the ball past Kinsky for what eventually proved to be the winner.
Spurs had little in reply. The stands turned toxic and the laden skies refused to budge - as do the metaphorical clouds gathering over this club.
"How sh** must you be, we're winning away," sang the visiting fans.
Ange Postecoglou has bemoaned his injuries. And yes, he has had many, many of them. But the team he put out today should have been more than capable of beating a side who started the game deep in the relegation zone.
They couldn't, and the pressure on Postecoglou continues to mount.
But for the Spurs fans there is one man they want out before any other. And it's not big Ange.
