Three things we found out as Chelsea stunned Bournemouth 1-0 with Caicedo better off without Enzo and Jörgensen looking upset after Sanchez pen save

By Alessandro Schiavone at Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth

Filip Jörgensen didn't join in the celebrations

Watching on from the bench, back-up goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen didn't look all too amused when Robert Sanchez thwarted Cameron Archer's penalty. The Spaniard played a blinder yesterday, going on to produce a flurry of crucial saves from Justin Kluivert and Enes Ünal to further cement his place as Chelsea's no.1. The Denmark under-21 international, who was signed for £20.7million on a seven-year from Villarreal, may have to get on with featuring in the Uefa Conference League to try and impress Enzo Maresca for the time being. Because as things stand there is as cavernous a gap between him and Sanchez as the one separating Thibaut Courtois and Asmir Begovic in the past. Only a series of gaffes would dislodge the ex-Brighton stopper, who on current form and performances, remains Chelsea's undisputed number one. And who would have thought that?

Nkunku to be Chelsea's main man

Super-sub Christopher Nkunku came off the bench to show Nicolas Jackson how to do it with a confident 86th minute winner. And more than the goal itself it's the ex-RB Leipzig man's movement and flick which took out a couple of Cherries defenders that will stick in Chelsea supporters for a while.

Jackson, who has freshly penned a new nine-year deal at the club, shows why out-and-out centre-forwards are top of football's endangered species list. Not only does he often make the wrong runs at the right time or accurately times his movements on wrong occasions. But concerningly he is not a born goalscorer. But that's what he supposedly earns big bucks for. Levi Colwill and Jadon Sancho both set their Senegalese teammate up either side of tea time but like on so many other occasions since his frustrating Chelsea spell began, he didn't have his shooting boots on. While his first  effort landed straight at keeper Travis after Colwill slipped him in on goal, he also blazed an attempt over in half-two. But Chelsea fans can at least take solace in the fact they may have seen the last of him in the starting XI after Nkunku went on to net a late winner to continue Maresca's 100 percent record away from home.

Caicedo looked better Enzoless

Caicedo is not just a piano carrier but showed that he can be a piano player too. On and off the ball, he was the soul and heartbeat in Chelsea's 1-0 win at Vitality Stadium. And in the absence of illness-stricken Enzo Fernandez, the Ecuadorian looked a different player. Free to do as he likes and to dictate the pace of the game, he made Chelsea tick alongside Veiga. The ex-Seagull was everywhere and always ready to stick his boot in, rob Bournemouth players off the ball and break quickly. He showed that despite his innate combativeness he's also technically accomplished and a fine passer. Would Jürgen Klopp still feel that Liverpool dodged a bullet after he decided to snub a move to Merseyside in favour or heading to Stamford Bridge?

Last season he learned the hard way that every dismal display is magnified at a club like Chelsea if you joined for a scintillating price tag north of £100million. But without Enzo limiting his game he may probably have copped a lot less flak in the first place. And the Argentine's return could present Maresca with a real selection headache as Veiga deserves his place alongside him in Chelsea's line-up at West Ham on Saturday.
