Things didn't go so Wells for this ex-QPR misfit against Leeds
By Alessandro Schiavone at Ashton Gate, Bristol
Bristol City 0-1 Leeds United (Gnonto 47')
Nakhi Wells was so underwhelming against Leeds United that boss Liam Manning took him off for Anis Mehmeti at the hour-mark despite Bristol City being a goal down.
The only thing the ex-QPR man did all game was latch on to a headed assist into space by Joe Williams. But even that one went to waste as his lack of pace allowed ex-Chelsea academy graduate Ampadu to recover.
Wells was just unimaginably useless to the Robins who could have done with a quality striker to break down the high-flying Yorkshiremen.
Even the traveling supporters ripped into him, chanting "Nakhi Wells, you're f****** s***".
You know you've got a big conundrum if Wells is your answer to Leeds winger Wilfried Gnonto.
And the exciting Italy international showed what "pasta he was made of" when he downed the hosts with a brilliantly executed finish on 47 minutes.
Having conceded so early into the second period clipped Bristol's wings.
And Wells was never going to be the man to fix them.
nakhi is a proven goalscorer in the right team ...and is a player who needs to be in the right set up...never a misfit at qpr. we wanted him to stay but he left for more bristol city money. sad to see him go .better him than that diving queen ladyboy cheat bamford for sure...
He wasn't even able to get his customary handballed goal
