Son Heung-Min missed a penalty as Spurs surrendered victory against lowly Wolves - piling the pressure on beleaguered boss Ange Postecoglou.
Goals from Rodrigo Bantancur and Brennan Johnson had put Tottenham ahead after Hwang Hee-Chan's early strike, but Jorgen Strand Larsen's fierce shot on the turn rescued a point for Wolves with three minutes left.
Wolves, in their jazzy all-purple third kit, silenced the home fans after seven minutes.
Rayan Ait-Nouri's free-kick from just outside the area to the right-hand side was tapped into a central position to the unmarked Hwang, whose shot flew past Fraser Forster via the post.
It took just five minutes for Spurs to get back on terms - Bantancur allowed acres of space to power a header past Jose Sa from Pedro Porro's corner.
Wolves were vulnerble from set pieces and should have conceded again midway through the first half, but Radu Dragusin's header from another Porro corner dropped just the wrong side of the post from Spurs point of view.
But Wolves responded. Spurs sat back and allowed the Midlanders time to grow into the game.
Matheus Cunha's shot had Forster scrambling across his goal - Yves Bissouma blazing a rushed shot over the crossbar at the other end.
Then came the penalty. Brennan Johnson got his body in front of Andre, whose attempt to get the ball dragged him down.
But an out-of-sorts Son took an age to take the kick, and Sa got across to his right to push the South Korean's effort to safety.
However the home side's pressure told and they were back in front in first-half stoppage time. Johnson released Dejan Kulusevski down the right and made his way into the box to collect the return pass and sweep Spurs into a 2-1 lead.
Wolves pushed forward early in the second half, searching for an equaliser, with Ait-Nouri seeing a shot blocked by Matt Doherty.
As the visitors began to take the ascendancy, Postecoglou brought on James Maddison, Pape Matar Sarr and Timo Werner.
Dominic Solanke burst away from the Wolves defence soon after but was caught in two minds between a cross for Kulusevski and a shot, and in the end a good chance was wasted.
As Wolves pushed forward, gaps began to open up and Solanke was inches away from connecting with Werner's cross on 78 minutes.
Then came the move of the match, Solanke's run set free Kulusevski, who took the ball round the onrushing Sa, but Santiago Bueno was there to clear the ball off the line.
But just as Spurs thought the points may be safe, Ait-Nouri's ball was controlled and smashed home by Strand Larsen to send the visiting fans home jubilant.
