Watford and West Brom played out a thrilling 2-2 draw under the rain at Vicarage Road.
Goals, misses, tackles, saves, stunners: this spectacular fixture had it all. And with both goalkeepers Alex Palmer and Daniel Bachmann producing two textbook saves apiece in the goalless second half it's fair to say that this game deserved no winners.
Watford got off the mark when Tom Ince curled in an unstoppable beauty after three minutes before John Swift got the leveller with an exquisite free-kick.
The freakishly poor Hornets defenders failed to prevent a second goal from going in when Jed Wallace got on the end of an excellent low Darnell Furlong delivery as he stuck his leg out to guide the ball into the far corner.
This crazy game then took another twist when Matheus Martins hammered home the Hornets' equaliser with an unstoppable drive from distance.
In the dying minutes of the first period Ismaël Kone was presented with a golden opportunity to re-establish Watford's lead but fired over.
Then it was the goalkeepers' moment to take centre stage. Bachmann pulled off two excellent from Brandon Thomas-Asante whereas Palmer heroically diverted Koné's bullet header onto the crossbar and was also equal to Jamal Lewis's short ranger to make the points safe.
