Leicester City 3-0 Newcastle United

Goals: Murphy 2', 11', Barnes 34'

Dan Burn's purple patch continues after Newcastle gatecrashed the Premier League's top-four with a 3-0 win over Ruud van Nistelrooy's shambolic Leicester City.

On-fire Jacob Murphy hit a first-half brace before Harvey Barnes rubbed further salt in Foxes wounds with a tap-in from Joelinton's shot.

The Magpies were all over the hosts who were unable to deal with their changes of pace and quick transitions.

Bilal El Khannouss made himself a threat when he twinkled forward from his own-half only for his shot to be comfortably palmed away by ex-Charlon gloveman Nick Pope.

To make it worse Patson Daka struck both posts before the ball bounced back to Pope.

Yet when all is said and done life couldn't get any better right now for ex-journeyman Burn, who made his Premier League for Fulham 11 years ago under René Meulensteen.

After playing a pivotal role in the club's Carabao Cup win last month and earning his maiden England cap, he looks set to feature in next season's Champions League.

At the expense of Chelsea?
