Exclusive Dante [Brazil]: Richarlison? Next season he'll be huge for Spurs

Exclusive by Alessandro Schiavone

Brazilian legend Dante claimed that Tottenham Hotspur supporters will finally see Richarlison's true potential next season.

Richarlison joined Tottenham for £60m from Everton last July.

But Daniel Levy's club have failed to get a return on their huge investment as the hothead has disappointingly produced only one goal in 25 Premier League appearances.

Tottenham have slipped to seventh after their 2-1 reversal at Aston Villa on Saturday as their hopes of playing European football next season are hanging by a thread.

But despite all the criticism in England, Richarlison has at least the backing of former Seleçao international Dante, who won the Champions League with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at Wembley in 2013.

The veteran defender, 39 , told Capital Football:

"Of course, I do believe Richarlison can [hold his own at Spurs].

"Sometimes it’s not easy to go from one team to another that play differently.

"Besides, Spurs had a few problems this season as the sacking of Conte showed.

"It’s never easy for attacking players because they have to adapt to their new teammates while for defenders it’s less difficult to express themselves.

"But Richarlison has a big heart, is a warrior and has a big personality.

"I think he’ll have a great season next year.”
