See Chelsea legends play Rangers legends - and celebrate the life of the great Ray Wilkins

Forget all the political shenanigans going on at Stamford Bridge at the moment, what with Roman Abramovich and his UK visa debacle and the binning of the stadium development plans, or not forgetting the confusion over the future of head coach Antonio Conte.

No, get down to sunny Gander Green Lane on Saturday, June 9 and watch some of Chelsea's former finest play their Rangers counterparts in the annual Chelsea Legends v Rangers Legends match.

Ex-Blues’ boy Ray Wilkins would have been Chelsea's manager.

Now, following his death, his great buddy Ray Lewington will take up the mantle. However the trophy for the winners will be renamed the Ray Wilkins Memorial Cup.

To mark the occasion, Ray's son Ross will play the final 15 minutes of the game. Organiser Mark Westwood said: "The players from both sides are looking forward to greeting Ross with open arms, so come along and see the legends in action."

Venue: Sutton United FC's Gander Green ground, Sutton, SM1 2EY

When: Saturday, June 9
